Vio Appoints Richard Dool to Chief Executive Officer; Company Sets Path for European and U.S. Growth

Vio Worldwide, one of the world’s leading suppliers of collaborative digital supply chain software and networking services for the graphic arts industry, has announced the appointment of Richard (Rick) Dool to Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

07 July 2004: A seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector, Rick Dool is responsible for leading the global organisation to become the number one choice for secure file transfer, ad composition and delivery, flightchecking solutions, automated workflows and networking for ad agencies, prepress and printers, publishers, and other enterprises. With Rick Dool at the helm, the company is poised to gain market share for its JDF-based products and services in the graphic arts industry. Dool is supported by Vio’s experienced executive team and staff, as well as solutions unmatched by its competitors.

Rick Dool will be based out of Vio’s Roseland, NJ, office, with regular visits in Europe to Vio’s offices in the United Kingdom, France and Israel.

Prior to Vio, Rick Dool was a part of Coprindm, leading the Life Sciences practice for this applications software developer. In 2000, Dool was President and CEO of Liquent, a software developer of regulatory publishing and intelligence content for the Life Sciences market. Rick Dool also served as president and CEO of LabVantage Solutions, where he helped the company to become one of the largest laboratory software providers for the Life Sciences and environmental markets. In 1987, Dool joined The Ultimate Corporation, leading its global software subsidiaries. Rick Dool began his career at AT&T in 1978 and served in a variety of sales, marketing and general management positions including Division Product Marketing Manager for the voice and data communications equipment division (now part of Lucent).

Rick Dool received a BA in Political Science and Public Administration from Fordham University, an MA in Strategic Communications and Leadership from Seton Hall University, and an MS in management from Thomas Edison State College, he also served in the United States Marine Corps from 1973 to 1975.
