Cisco General Manager Joins Valaran BOD

PRINCETON, N.J. March 17, 2005 -- Valaran Corporation, provider of network edge solutions for developing, managing, and operating large scale, highly distributed dynamic applications, announced today that Ron Martin, Vice President of Service Provider Development for Cisco, has joined Valaran's Board of Directors. Martin brings the experience and insight of more than 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry to Valaran's Board.  Taylor Winfield, Inc. conducted the search.

As Vice President of Service Provider Development, Ron helps to develop the strategy for the company's optical line of business. Prior to joining Cisco, Ron was Fujitsu's Network Communication's Chief Operating Officer. He has also held management positions in Rockwell Telecom and AT&T.

CIO of BEA to Bring Experience and Insight to Valaran BOD

Prior to joining BEA, Ms. Hocker was vice president of ERP implementation and supply chain reengineering at Agilent Technologies, Inc. She also worked at Hewlett-Packard for 18 years where she held several management roles within information technology management, high technology manufacturing and distribution and personal computer supply chain management.
