CIO of BEA to Bring Experience
and Insight to Valaran BOD
PRINCETON, N.J. August 24, 2004 -- Valaran Corporation, a provider

Hocker, senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) of
BEA Systems, Inc., has joined Valaran's Board of Directors. Rhonda
brings to Valaran a strong background in information technology and
global supply chain management. BEA Systems is a leading enterprise
applications infrastructure software company.

to joining BEA, Ms. Hocker was vice president of ERP implementation and supply
chain reengineering at Agilent Technologies, Inc. She also worked at Hewlett-Packard
for 18 years where she held several management roles within information technology
management, high technology manufacturing and distribution and personal computer
supply chain management.
