Syndera Appoints Experienced Executive As Chief Executive Officer to Lead Next Phase of Growth

Former SAP and IBM Enterprise Software Veteran, Janet Heppner-Jones, Joins Syndera as CEO

REDWOOD CITY, CA, August 23, 2005 - Syndera, the leading provider of Operational Intelligence solutions, named Janet Heppner-Jones as its new Chief Executive Officer. Heppner-Jones will also serve on the Syndera board and succeeds founder Prashant Gupta, who becomes Chai rman of the Board of Directors.  The search was conducted by Taylor Winfield, Inc.

Heppner-Jones has spent the last 20 years building successful technology and software organizations. Most recently as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations at MatrixOne, Heppner-Jones drove global sales strategy, initiatives, and field organization tactics. As CEO of Convey Software, she successfully transformed the company into a solutions provider of globalization software and services. Previously Heppner-Jones was Senior Vice President and General Manager at SAP America, where she ran a $550 million business unit. Heppner-Jones also spent 7 years at IBM, twice earning the prestigious Eagle Award given to the top one-percent of the sales force and consistently attaining Golden Circle status.
