POLIVEC APPOINTS KIM NELSON AS PRESIDENT AND CEO

Industry Veteran Brings Sales and Operations Expertise to
Drive Polivec Expansion

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIFORNIA, August 9, 2005 - Polivec, Inc., a leading provider of sustainable policy and compliance management software, announced today that it has appointed Kim Nelson as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Nelson will be responsible for building the Company's market position, customer relationships and revenue growth, while managing Polivec worldwide activity and expansion.   The search was conducted by Taylor Winfield, Inc.

In his distinguished career of over 20 years, Mr. Nelson has demonstrated success in the enterprise software industry enabling companies, ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 corporations, to gain competitive advantage and maximize their shareholder value. He brings to Polivec a deep understanding of operations management, market development and global sales execution.

Mr. Nelson joins the Company from Pacific Edge Software, a privately-held Seattle corporation that produced portfolio management software for Fortune 1000 global companies, where he served as Executive Vice President. Mr. Nelson also served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at Primus Knowledge Solutions, guiding the company to a successful IPO in 1999. In addition, he has held various executive positions at Oracle, including Vice President of Business Online, Vice President of Field Operations, and Area Vice President of Sales.
