MTI Technology Corporation Appoints Scott Poteracki as Chief Financial Officer

TUSTIN, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 2004--MTI Technology Corporation (Nasdaq/SCM: MTIC), a leading multi-national total storage solutions and services company, today announced the appointment of Scott Poteracki to the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer. Mr. Poteracki will be responsible for the company's worldwide financial and fiscal management policies, providing guidance to senior-level management and will play a significant role in the day-to-day operation of the company.  The search for this position was conducted by Taylor Winfield, Inc.

Mr. Poteracki will be based at MTI's corporate headquarters in Tustin, California. Prior to joining MTI, he was chief financial officer for Cray, Inc. a provider of high-performance computing solutions for the scientific and engineering communities. Mr. Poteracki's career has also included leadership positions such as chief financial officer with Racal Instruments, Inc.; corporate controller and senior director, finance with Broadcom, Inc.; and Motorola, Inc., as corporate vice president and controller.
