LiteScape Appoints New Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing from Nuance

Industry Executive Brings Proven Experience in Building High Performing Teams to VoIP Leader

Redwood Shores, Calif., April 24, 2006—LiteScape Technologies, Inc. (www.litescape.com), a leading provider of VoIP business applications, today announced the appointment of Rod Hamlin, former Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Services at Nuance Communications, as the new Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing of LiteScape.  Hamlin joins the management team as LiteScape emerges onto the international marketplace with the company’s IP telephony solutions for identity management, converged CRM and collaboration.  The search was conducted by Taylor Winfield, Inc.

Hamlin brings to LiteScape a successful track record of 19 years of sales leadership for leading edge technology companies. At Nuance, a leading provider of speech-based solutions, Hamlin was responsible for managing the company's worldwide sales and professional services organizations, while working closely with partners such as Cisco, Avaya, and Intervoice.  Most recently, he was at JRG Software where he was responsible for all sales activities. JRG was acquired by CDC Software, a wholly owned subsidiary of CDC Corporation in early 2006.

“Rod’s global experience in the enterprise and telephony markets along with his successful approach to developing strategic sales teams - both internal and with channels is critical to our growth,” said Farzad Naimi, chairman and CEO of LiteScape. “We are honored to have him as a part of our management team.”

In addition to holding senior executive positions with two public companies, Rod is a veteran of four start ups. Prior to Nuance, Rod was with ViAir, a wireless applications company, where he held the position of executive vice president of sales. Hamlin also held senior positions at Freei Networks, an Internet service provider acquired by NetZero, Onyx Software, a global supplier of customer relationship management (CRM) applications, and Saros Corporation, a content management company acquired by FileNET. Rod began his career at IBM in 1988. He holds a bachelors degree from Pacific Lutheran University, and attended the masters in business administration program at Seattle University.

“LiteScape is a winning combination of a highly experienced management team and converged IP solutions that solve real business problems,” said Hamlin. “The momentum at Litescape is impressive as the company continues to gain traction, and has now emerged onto the international market with new large customer wins in Asia and Europe. I’m excited to help guide the company’s expansive growth this year and beyond.”
