Cobalt Biofuels Adds Biotech Leader as new Chief Operating Officer David DeNola, former Vice President of Operations for Xenogen joins Cobalt Biofuels as COO Mountain View, CA - Cobalt Biofuels introduced David DeNola, the former Vice President of Operations for biotech leader Xenogen, at the company's Chief Operating Officer. The search was conducted by Taylor Winfield, Inc. Mr. DeNola has over 25 years of biotech and life sciences experience in preparing start-ups for rapid growth in global markets. As a senior executive in operations and product development, he has served with a number of companies in both the U.S. and Israel. Recently, he served as VP of Operations at Xenogen Corporation. Prior to Xenogen, Mr. DeNola served for five years as VP of Operations at Ciphergen Biosystems, a proteomics company. Before returning to the U.S. from Israel in 2000, he was Chief Operating Officer for Gamida-Cell, a stem cell company, and CBD Technologies, a biotech platform technology company. During his time in Israel, David spent over ten years developing, building, and operating systems for mammalian cell culture microfiltration and virus free plant cell fermentation and production. David has a MA in Business Administration from Technion, Israel and received his BA in University of California, Berkeley in Genetics, Biological Anthropology in 1972.
