Marcotte as
Vice President of Sales
Santa Clara, Calif., — May 26, 2005 — Cenzic, Inc.,
continuing to build on its strong market momentum today announced that
Don Marcotte has joined the company as vice president of sales. In
this position, Don leads Cenzic's worldwide sales organization, bringing
more than 20 years experience in sales management and a broad understanding
of how to manage multiple sales channels in an integrated fashion.
Don's addition provides the final piece in Cenzic's existing strong
management team with diverse and comprehensive experience. The
search was conducted by Taylor Winfield, Inc.
Don is a senior sales executive who has built numerous successful
enterprise software and hardware sales operations with a significant
focus on financial services, a key area of emphasis for Cenzic. Prior
to joining the company, Don served as VP of financial services sales
and EMEA sales for Clearcube Technology, a provider of blade desktop
technology, where he was responsible for leading the company's sales
organization and driving new business leads in the financial services
and healthcare sectors. Don was also VP of worldwide sales at Trinitech
Group, PLC, a provider of secure back office software for the payments
industry. Don also spent eight years with Syncsort, Inc. running its
North American and international sales operations. He has previously
held sales and sales management positions at IBM and Wang Laboratories.
“As vulnerabilities continue to emerge at an alarming rate, enterprises
must be cognizant of protecting their mission critical applications
from potential hackers,” said Marcotte. “Based on my experience and
familiarity with the software industry, it is clear to me that Cenzic
is well ahead of the curve in helping companies to address their web
application security challenges. I look forward to helping Cenzic aggressively
build its sales operations as the company responds to strong market
demand and continues to establish itself as a leader in automated application
security assessment software.”
“In the face of an increasing number of risks, exposed interfaces
and regulatory compliance issues, ensuring application security is
increasingly a top priority for any organization that relies on the
Web to conduct business,” said John Weinschenk, CEO of Cenzic. “Don's
expertise and deep understanding of the needs of large enterprises,
particularly in the financial services sector, gives our sales effort
a major boost as we continue to help companies deal with what is becoming
