MPI APPPOINTS JEFF BUSCH VICE PRESIDENT OF STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS
DALLAS, TX, (March 25, 2009) — Meeting Professionals International (MPI) today announced its new vice president of strategic communications, Jeff Busch. Mr. Busch will be responsible for MPI’s global marketing, public relations and communication efforts. The search was conducted by Taylor Winfield, Inc.
With a strong background in sports and event marketing, Mr. Busch comes to MPI with an impressive track record of communications and marketing leadership. Most recently at the Hunt Sports Group, he worked as vice president, marketing, communications & broadcasting. There he led the strategic re-branding of Dallas’ Major League Soccer Team, FC Dallas, increased ticket sales by 400% over three years at Pizza Hut Park, and served as the company’s “brand sheriff.”

Prior to Hunt Sports Group, Mr. Busch worked as the vice president, business development for the Texas Tornado Hockey Team in Frisco. There he was responsible for sales, marketing, advertising, communications, public relations and marketing positioning. His background also includes leadership positions for Hi-Line Inc., Streetball Partners International, and The Quaker Oats Company.
